There was a little girl,

Adventure all that she sort,

To leave the misery behind,

To make new memories,

Find those she’d call her kind.

So one day she,

Gathered her things,

Left the place she’d never called home,

And away she went.

This girl, she,

Sailed across the seven seas,

And climbed up to mountain peaks.

Till she eventually came across,

A genie in a bottle,

‘At last!’ she thought,

She might get everything she wanted.

And in a haste,

She asked for wishes,

Without considering the costs.

She wished for a big house,

And many cars,

A bunch of clothes,

All that money could buy.

All these were granted,

But more she wanted,

Till it became evident,

Nothing could sate her.

Her greed consumed her,

Filled her up inside,

Till a girl once full of adventure,

Became full of anger.
